Bible App for Kids
The Bible App for Kids is a free app for Android, Apple, and Kindle devices, available in over 50 languages. The App introduces children to 41 of the “big” Bible stories and helps them understand the overall story that the Bible is telling. Throughout each story, fun, interactive animations keep children engaged, and select stories even include games designed to help them learn, understand, and retain important Bible story concepts.
Bible Learning Stations – Loyola Press
Building Faith, a service of Virginia Theological Seminary, provides hundreds of articles and activities for faith formation with all ages. Use the "Bible Study" link above to access Bible activities. Use the "Articles by Topics" category to find other scripture-based activities.
The website has lesson plans, activities, articles, and video suggestions for teaching the Bible - at home and church. Use the search function to find activities for teaching the Bible.
The Children's Liturgy of the Word with Miss Heidi
Every week, Miss Heidi (Heidi Witte) presents the weekly Catholic lectionary readings during a 30-minute Children's Liturgy of the Word episode. With family-friendly religious music by Catholic composer John Burland, faith-based signs in American Sign Language, and plentiful imagery. She provides a free coordinating coloring page each week (see YouTube videos for link or visit linktr.ee/kidsliturgy).
ChildrensMinistry.com from Group Publishing has a library of Bible lesson plans for all children of all ages on a wide variety of themes or topics, as well as on holidays throughout the year. In addition to the library of lesson plans, there is a library of Bible activities and teaching tips for leaders.
Christian Practices: Reading the Bible
Lifelong Faith's Christian Practices project has produced 18 Bible activities with a teaching plan. All activities are included on separate MS Word document so that you can create handouts for sessions, a booklet, online playlists and activities, social media posts, etc. Each Activity can be done in 20 minutes (approximately). There are also five reading the Bible worksheets/activities for children that can be combined with other Bible activities or used as part of a children’s program and home activities.
DLTK's Bible Crafts and Resources for Children
DLTK provides crafts, lesson plans, color pages, puzzles, games, recipes, and activities. In addition there are children's version of Bible stories.
Episcopal Children's Curriculum (ECC)
The Episcopal Children’s Curriculum is a thematic Sunday school curriculum tied to the seasons of the church year: Advent-Epiphany, Lent and Easter, Spring and Pentecost. It was developed by the Center for the Ministry of Teaching under the direction of the Rev. Locke E. Bowman, Jr. and Amelia J. Dyer, Ph.D. Although no longer in print, ECC curriculum materials are available for free download.

Illustrated Ministry ($)
Illustrated Ministry creates accessible faith-based resources for the church and home. Their thoughtful and easy to use materials are designed to foster authentic faith engagement with refreshing designs, creative activities, and intergenerational focus. They produce curriculum programming, resources for the church year seasons, worship resources, and family resources. Lesson Plans that Work
Published by The Episcopal Church and designed to follow the Revised Common Lectionary, these lesson weekly plans include sessions for young children, for older children, and usually a lesson plan for adults. Intergenerational lesson plans are available for many major feast days throughout the liturgical year. Most lesson plans are based on the Gospel, and some also have an Old Testament Lesson Plan.
Life.Church Open Network Resources for Young Children
Created to work in tandem with the Bible App for Kids, the Life.Church Open Network curriculum features interactive videos, leader training, in-class activities, and all support materials. This 23-unit, two-year curriculum teaches young children about Jesus and allows them to reinforce what they learn in church at home through the app.
Life.Church Open Network Resources for Elementary Age Children
The Network includes a colorful, Bible-based series for elementary students of all ages. In this category, you'll find free lessons, videos, art, teacher guides, and in-class activities for kids in 1st grade through 4th grade.
Lost Sheep Children’s Books ($ and free)
Lost Sheep Books makes available their children’s books in digital format. You can purchase one book and email the digital Activity books to families associated with your church community to print out at home. They have lots of free resources, activity sheets, coloring pages, crosswords, mazes, word searches, and more.
Loyola Press Catholic Resources
Loyola Press Catholic Resources are a library of activities for the children and the whole family, including Scripture, Catholic basics, liturgical year, prayer, sacraments, saints, Scripture and tradition, and Ignatian spirituality. There are also resources in Spanish.

Ministry Spark has free children and family activities and programs, including at home lessons for families, Bible devotions, Bible lessons, seasonal programs, and a variety of ministry guides.

The Religion Teacher
The Religion Teacher provides a large collection of Catholic religious education activities for Scripture. The activities include crafts, worksheets, prayer ideas, and more.

Sadlier Religion Publishers makes available free Scripture activities and resources for children and families.
Saint Mary's Press Resource Center
The Saint Mary's Press Resource Center has a variety of free Scripture resources for download including maps, activities, lesson plans, prayers, articles, worksheets, and videos.
Spirit and Truth Publishing ($)
Spirit and Truth Publishing offers faith formation resources for the Narrative Lectionary, Revised Common Lectionary, Cross+Gen Ministry, Worship & Liturgy, and Family Formation @ Home. All resources are digital and for download. There are special instructions and restrictions for using the digital resources on a church's digital platforms.
Sunday School Center
Sunday School Center offers free Bible lessons, skits, crafts, and games for children. Go to "Little Guys" for preschool sessions and to "Children's Lessons" for ages 7-11 years.
Vibrant Faith at Home Activities
Hundreds of activities for home and church, created by Vibrant Faith, are available to download as PDFs. Children's activities are organized in six categories: Bible Stories, Conversations, Learning about Faith, Prayer, Ritual & Tradition, and Serving Others.
Visual Faith Activities
Vibrant Faith has created 32 Visual Faith Experiences that connect a Bible passage to visual images that you can download as PDFs and use as thematic lessons at home or church throughout the year! There is also a guide for using the experiences on online platforms.
Wesleyan Resource Center - Children
The Wesleyan Resource Center curates theologically Wesleyan and holistic resources motivated to move people from making decisions to trust Christ to actively following Jesus in close discipleship communities. All of the resources are free. The children's section includes children's lesson plans on a variety of biblical and faith themes, seasonal programs, and videos.

Catholic Kids Media provides quality Catholic programming for kids to help parents and teachers instruct children in the Catholic faith and practices. They produce videos in English and Spanish. Search the site for scripture videos.

The Parables - The Religion Teacher

Saddleback Kids Videos
Saddleback Kids, the children’s ministry at Saddleback Church, has developed animated videos to teach children (and families ) about God’s word. These videos can be used as stand alone bible lessons that parents can view with their children. There are videos for early childhood and elementary children.
The Skit Guys
The Skit Guys have produced hundreds of videos of their skits on a variety of topics: seasonal, faith themes, life issues, and more - for teaching, sermons, events, and more. The videos are available on YouTube and on their website (for purchase and download).
